The Castrol Disc Brake Fluid DOT 4 - 500ml is a Castrol maintenance product for the applications described below. Review the confirmed formula, suitable surfaces and use information before adding it to your workshop or cleaning kit.

Follow the product label and the motorcycle manufacturer's maintenance instructions, and confirm surface or component suitability before use.

  • Castrol Brake Fluid DOT 4 is a high boiling synthetic brake fluid
  • Castrol Brake Fluid DOT 4 is designed for use in brake systems particularly those which are exposed to extreme conditions
  • Application
  • This product has been formulated from mixed polyalkylene glycol ethers and borate esters together with other high performance additives and inhibitors which give ultimate system protection against the effects of corrosion and high temperature vapour lock
  • The formulation has been developed such that the vapour lock point can be sustained at a higher level than conventional glycol ether based fluids during the service life of the product
  • Castrol Brake Fluid DOT 4 is fully compatible with other fluids meeting FMVSS 116 DOT 3 and DOT 4 however, in order to maintain the superior performance characteristics of Castrol Brake Fluid DOT 4, avoid mixing with other brake fluid products
  • All conventional brake fluids deteriorate during use

Shipping and Deliveries

Delivery is free on all orders over R3 000 (except for order on tyres), if your Order value is less than R3 000, the delivery fee will be displayed when you checkout and recorded in your Order confirmation and invoice, which will be emailed to You. *Please note order on tyres are exempt from free delivery*

 

Delivery of Your Order will be made 3 to 7 business days from the date that your Order confirmation is sent to you, except during sales and/or special events, such as Black Friday or Cyber Monday, when delivery may take up to 10 business days. We do not guarantee that Your Order will be dispatched or delivered on any particular date and time.

Your Order will only be delivered to a valid address in South Africa, on business days between 08h00 and 16h00 and You, or the person accepting delivery on your behalf, may be requested to produce identification, when accepting the delivery of Your Order.

Two attempts will be made to deliver Your Order and should you fail, refuse or neglect to be available and accept the Order after 2 attempts, You may be liable for additional delivery charges or We may elect to cancel Your Order, in which event We will refund You the full transaction value less delivery charges already incurred and a reasonable administration charge.

When your Order is delivered, You must inspect the Products and be satisfied that the Products conform to the quality and quantity You ordered and are free from any defects. You are not able to return any Products to Us with the courier and if you wish to return the Products, You must follow the returns procedure, as contained in our Online Returns Terms and Conditions, which can be found here:
